Blora DPRD Official Uses Official Vehicle for Eid Despite Knowing KPK Rules, His Admission is Mind-Boggling

A shocking admission has come from the Acting Secretary (PLT) of the Blora Regency DPRD in Central Java, Agus Listiyono. He did not deny using an official vehicle with a red plate numbered K 28 E to travel outside the area during Eid. “I apologise for that. I was the one who drove the vehicle,” he said, quoted on Tuesday, 24 March 2026. He revealed that the use of the official vehicle occurred on Saturday, 21 March. In the morning, around 10:00 WIB, he paid a visit to the residence of Blora Regent Arief Rohman. Then, around 11:00 WIB, Agus continued his journey to his parents’ house in Kunduran Subdistrict, Blora. Later that afternoon, around 15:30 WIB, he departed from Kunduran to Sragen to visit his in-laws. He travelled via the route through Kuwu, Wirosari, Grobogan Regency. Around 17:00 WIB, the official vehicle was estimated to have passed through the Tangen Main Road area in Sragen, where it was photographed, and the image circulated on social media, drawing public attention. “After leaving my parents in Kunduran, I went to my in-laws in Sragen for Eid greetings,” he said. Agus was aware of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Circular No. 2 of 2026 on Controlling and Preventing Gratuity, which among other things reminds that state facilities should not be used for personal interests. However, he admitted to being less thorough in understanding and applying those rules. “I knew about that KPK circular and I feel guilty for not being diligent in understanding it,” said Agus. He added that the use of the official vehicle was only brief and not used for other purposes outside the greeting agenda. Agus also confirmed that he had returned to Blora on Sunday, 22 March evening. “Only for one day, nowhere else. Sunday, 22 March evening I was already back,” he stated. Previously, the official vehicle had caught the attention of netizens after its photo circulated widely on social media. Netizens questioned compliance with the rules on the use of official vehicles, which should be intended for official duties. Referring to Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment Regulation No. PER/87/M.PAN/8/2005, government operational vehicles are used to support the implementation of main tasks and functions, not for personal interests.
