Blora DPRD Official Apologises After Being Caught Using Official Vehicle for Eid Celebrations
Acting Secretary of the Blora Regency DPRD, Agus Listiyono, has acknowledged and apologised for using an official red-plated vehicle outside the area after footage of the car went viral on social media.
“I apologise for that. I was the one driving the vehicle,” Agus said in Blora on Monday (23/3), as reported by Antara.
According to Agus, he used the official vehicle with licence plate K 28 E on Saturday morning (21/3) around 10:00 WIB to go to the residence of Blora Regent Arief Rohman.
Afterwards, around 11:00 WIB, Agus explained that he travelled to his parents’ home in Kunduran Subdistrict, Blora.
Then, around 15:30 WIB, Agus said he departed from Kunduran to his in-laws’ house in Sragen, passing through the route via Kuwu, Wirosari, Grobogan Regency.
Around 17:00 WIB, the official vehicle was spotted in the Tangen main road area in Sragen and was captured on camera, with the photo circulating on social media and drawing public attention.
“After leaving my parents in Kunduran, I went to my in-laws in Sragen for Eid greetings,” he said.
The sighting of the Toyota Kijang Innova official vehicle drew attention from netizens who questioned public officials’ compliance with the ban on using official vehicles outside official duties.
Based on Minister of State for Administrative Reform Regulation Number PER/87/M.PAN/8/2005, government operational vehicles are to support the implementation of main tasks and functions, not for personal interests.
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has also reminded of the importance of maintaining integrity, particularly in the use of state facilities during holiday periods.
Agus said he was aware of KPK Circular Letter Number 2 of 2026 on Control and Prevention of Gratification, which among other things reminds that state facilities should not be used for personal interests. However, he admitted to being less diligent in understanding and applying the regulation.
“I know about that KPK letter and I feel guilty for not being careful in understanding it,” he stated.
He added that the use of the official vehicle was only brief and not used for other purposes outside the greeting agenda.
Agus also confirmed that he had returned to Blora on Sunday night (22/3). “Only for one day, nowhere else. On Sunday night (22/3) I was already back,” he said.
