Blora Community School Students Equipped with Laptops for Digital Learning
Blora (ANTARA) - The Community School in Blora Regency, Central Java, has now transformed into a digital-based school as all students receive laptop facilities to support a more modern and interactive learning process.
The laptop assistance comes from the General Bureau of the Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos). The presence of these devices is considered capable of driving significant changes in teaching and learning methods in the classroom,” said the Head of the Blora Community School, Tri Yuli Setyoningrum, in Blora on Sunday.
She revealed that each student receives a laptop with Intel Core i5 processor specifications and 152 GB storage capacity. Meanwhile, teachers and the principal use devices with higher specifications, namely Intel Core i7, to support the learning process optimally.
Tri explained that the use of laptops allows students to access digital materials, complete assignments independently, and explore various educational applications, as one of the efforts to increase student engagement in the learning process.
According to her, technology brings real changes in the classroom because students become more active. The material can also be delivered visually and interactively. In addition, students’ understanding also improves because they can directly practise the material using the available devices.
The presence of supporting facilities such as smart boards also strengthens the modern learning ecosystem. Teachers are now beginning to combine conventional methods with digital presentations, learning videos, and app-based evaluations.
Currently, she said, 50 students from 16 sub-districts participate in learning activities at the Blora Community School, accompanied by 18 educators. The learning process is divided into two classes to maintain effectiveness.
She hopes that through this digital transformation, not only will the quality of learning improve, but students will also be equipped with technology skills from an early age as preparation for facing future challenges.
