Blood and prayers

Blood and prayers

From Kompas

Usmar Ismail started shooting his monumental first film Blood and Prayers on March 30, 1950. Later this date was officially declared as the national film day.

Recently the film organizations celebrated the national film day by holding "high level" talks to revitalize the film industry. RCTI participated by screening old films such as Blood and Prayers.

This film was shown on March 30, 1996. However, some scenes close to the end of the story were "missing." The film was supposed to last for 128 minutes. In fact, the missing scenes contained some important events. Capt. Sudarto shoots his own father, a traitor. With that part missing the story was incomplete. It seems that RCTI did not realize this. Who was to blame for that blunder?
