Blok M Becomes a Magnet for Jakarta Residents

The Blok M area in South Jakarta is considered to have once again become a public space that is crowded with visitors from various age groups. This phenomenon is evident from the diverse activities taking place in the area, ranging from community events to activities involving young people and families.

Marketing Director of Aqua Adisti Nurmala said Blok M is currently an area that many people visit. In fact, the area is often referred to as the ‘state of Blok M’ by the public.

“We all know that Blok M is happening right now. People even call it the state of Blok M. This is a public place that we believe everyone definitely wants to come to, from all backgrounds and ages,” said Adisti in Blok M, Jakarta, Saturday (15/8).

According to her, visitors to Blok M do not only come from young people, but also include other age groups, including families.

“The old, the young, children, younger siblings, older siblings, everyone comes here,” she said.

This condition has encouraged various parties to utilise the Blok M area as a public meeting space. One of these is through the organisation of various activities that are open to the public.

In the AQUA Ademin Indonesia Celebration event held in Blok M, Aqua presented a series of activities over seven days to commemorate Indonesia’s 81st Independence Day while inviting the public to share positive energy.

Adisti said the selection of Blok M as the event location is inseparable from the area’s development as a place accessible to various community groups.

“We feel that this is a very good place for Aqua to jointly provide space for everyone to come to Blok M,” she said.

Meanwhile, content creator Arvino, who is known to be close to the Blok M area, was involved in the event as an icon of the ‘cool people’.

Vino said activities in Blok M are increasingly diverse, including activities that families can participate in.

“The event is really exciting. Especially since this is commemorating Independence Day. There are competitions, there are many interesting activities to try. And all families can join,” said Vino.

According to Vino, the momentum of the independence commemoration can also be an opportunity for young people to carry out various positive activities according to their respective interests.

“For young people, be spirited and creative. Especially nowadays there are more and more young people. Keep inspiring,” he said.

He cited social activities such as cleaning rivers as one of the positive activities that young people can do.

“Maybe they can do positive things, like cleaning rivers or anything according to their passion. Positive things, not negative ones,” said Vino.
