Blockchain and AI-Based Entertainment Ecosystem Continues to Be Developed
Efforts to intensify and develop a blockchain and artificial intelligence (AI)-based entertainment ecosystem continue. One such effort was through Coinfest Asia 2026, held at Melasti Beach, Bali, on 20–21 August 2026.
Show Token, an entertainment company based on blockchain and AI technology, took part in the event. Their presence at the festival was aimed at expanding their digital ecosystem and strengthening collaboration in the entertainment industry across Southeast Asia.
At the event, Show Token presented a series of interactive programmes, ranging from dispatching two community buses from Yogyakarta to Bali, a special screening of the film Ketok Mejik at Mall Bali Galeria, to the participation of the mascot “Show Man”, which won the Coinfest 2026 Mascot Battle competition.
“Coinfest 2026 is an important opportunity for us to connect directly with the community and explore opportunities with industry players who share a similar vision regarding the future of entertainment technology,” said Show Token Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Akshay Melwani in an official statement on Tuesday (25/8/2026).
Show Token promotes an integrated ecosystem centred on a utility token based on the Ethereum network (ERC-20). Its main platform, Show Movies, implements a watch-and-earn model that connects viewers directly with the production and distribution process of films.
In addition, their ecosystem is also supported by Show AI & Marketplace for AI-based creative content production, Show Kids which focuses on developing educational animation IP, and Show Capital & Index for optimising ecosystem value.
The use of this technology is claimed to be more than just a concept. Show Token has been directly involved as Executive Producer in a number of national feature films, including Cerita Lila, Pemikat Jiwa, Sihir Tanah Kubur, and Ketok Mejik.
This step is presented to address various classic challenges in the traditional entertainment industry, such as high capital barriers, limited access for independent creators, and revenue-sharing models that are considered less transparent.
Through this approach, they seek to overcome funding barriers while transforming the role of viewers from merely passive consumers into active participants in the growth of the national creative industry.
