Blasts Rock Southern Iran After Latest US Strikes

Istanbul - Southern Iran was the target of the latest series of American strikes, with blasts and air raids reported there early Thursday. According to Iran’s national television, five ‘enemy projectiles’ hit a location in the Kargan area of Minab City, southern Iran. Explosions were also heard in Bandar Abbas, whilst Iranian media reported blasts and active air defence systems in the Jask, Qeshm, and Sirik areas of Hormozgan Province. The development followed a statement from US Central Command (CENTCOM) that American forces had carried out an additional series of ‘self-defence’ strikes against a number of targets in Iran. CENTCOM said the strikes were conducted under the direct instruction of President Donald Trump in response to what they called ‘continued aggression’ from Iran.
