BKPRMI Central Board Appreciates President Prabowo's Swift Response to Forest Fires and NTT Earthquake

The Central Board of the Indonesian Mosque Youth Communication Agency (DPP BKPRMI) has affirmed its full support for President Prabowo Subianto in implementing all government programmes.

This includes handling various national issues, such as forest and land fires (karhutla) and the earthquake disaster in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).

Deputy Chairman of DPP BKPRMI, Sedek Rahman Bahta, expressed appreciation for President Prabowo’s seriousness in addressing these issues.

“We see President Prabowo focused on working and being directly present when the people face problems. The handling of forest and land fires as well as the response to the NTT earthquake shows that the government is present and working for the people,” said Sedek in his statement on Wednesday, 26 August 2026.

BKPRMI also appreciated President Prabowo’s decision to travel directly to NTT to see the condition of affected communities and ensure that handling and recovery efforts are proceeding well.

According to Sedek, in situations like this, all elements of the nation should provide support and maintain a conducive atmosphere.

“We are not anti-criticism. Criticism is part of democracy, but there must be no provocation, hoaxes, or attempts to pit the people against each other that would disrupt the concentration of the President and the government in working,” he asserted.

DPP BKPRMI called on the public, particularly mosque youth, not to be easily provoked, to prioritise tabayyun (verification), maintain unity, and be part of the solution.

“The President is working for the people. Let us give him room to work, provide constructive oversight, and together safeguard the unity of Indonesia,” he concluded.
