BKPM Unveils Strategic Programmes for 2027
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) has unveiled a number of strategic programmes to be implemented in 2027 to strengthen the national investment ecosystem, promote equitable development, and accelerate the downstreaming agenda.
Minister for Investment and Downstreaming/Head of BKPM Rosan Roeslani stated during a meeting with Commission XII of the House of Representatives in Jakarta on Monday that the ministry is committed to continuing strategic programmes that have been running in 2026 while accelerating various priority agendas in the following year.
The strategic programmes for 2027 include the development of the Online Single Submission (OSS) system based on Artificial Intelligence (AI), big data, and blockchain. This measure is intended to improve the accuracy, transparency, and reliability of the system.
Furthermore, BKPM will expand the integration of District and City Detailed Spatial Plans (RDTR) into the OSS system to speed up the investment licensing process. Rosan explained that the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) is targeting the addition of RDTR in 400 districts and cities in 2027. As of 8 June 2026, a total of 570 RDTR have been integrated with the OSS system, covering 38 provinces and 300 districts and cities.
Other programmes include the Direct Construction Investment Facility (KLIK) and strengthening investment policy planning to enhance investment attractiveness across various regions.
In an effort to expand investment promotion and facilitation, BKPM plans to strengthen the role of the Indonesian Investment Promotion Centre (IIPC) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) in China by adding a representative office in Guangzhou.
βAnd also strengthening the IIPC institution in China by adding our representation in Guangzhou, in addition to Beijing, because we are already in Beijing as a global manufacturing and trade centre in Southern China, considering that investment from China has experienced quite good and significant growth,β Rosan said.
BKPM has also placed strengthening national investment governance as one of its main agendas for 2027. This effort will be carried out by reinforcing the national downstreaming ecosystem, oriented towards increasing the added value of natural resources and accelerating the realisation of investment in the downstream sector.
The measures include accelerating the issuance of the Draft Presidential Regulation on strategic investment downstreaming, overseeing 18 priority downstream projects, and speeding up the realisation of investment in 28 national strategic commodities.
