BKPM Records Q1 2026 Investment Achievement of Rp498.8 Trillion
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) has recorded an investment realisation for the first quarter of 2026 amounting to Rp498.8 trillion.
Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of BKPM, Rosan Roeslani, stated that this figure rose 7.2% year-on-year (yoy), compared to last year’s realisation of Rp465.2 trillion.
“The investment realisation achievement for Q1 2026 is recorded at Rp498.8 trillion, with job absorption of 706,569, up 18.9% year-on-year,” said Rosan during a press conference in Jakarta, as reported by Antara on Thursday (23/4/2026).
Furthermore, he explained that this first-quarter achievement amounts to 24.4% of this year’s planned target of Rp2,041.3 trillion.
He detailed that of the total investment entering Indonesia, the proportions of domestic investment (PMDN) and foreign investment (PMA) are nearly equal.
PMDN accounts for 49.9% of the overall achievement, valued at Rp248.8 trillion (up 6% year-on-year). Meanwhile, PMA’s share is 50.1% at Rp250 trillion.
Minister Rosan stated that the top five investing countries are Singapore with approximately US$4.6 billion, Hong Kong (China) US$2.7 billion, China US$2.2 billion, the United States US$1.3 billion, and Japan US$1 billion.
Meanwhile, he also mentioned that the sectors receiving the largest capital injections are basic metals industry, metal goods excluding machinery and equipment (Rp69.4 trillion); other services (Rp64.2 trillion); mining (Rp51.9 trillion); housing, industrial areas, and offices (Rp48 trillion); transportation, warehousing, and telecommunications (Rp45.4 trillion).
“Meanwhile, looking at the Q1 2026 PMDN and PMA realisation areas, they are Jakarta, West Java, Banten, East Java, and Central Sulawesi,” said Rosan.
He hopes that this positive trend can be maintained entering Q2 2026, while realising this year’s national investment target.
