BKPM Records Investment Realisation of Rp498.8 Trillion in the First Quarter of 2026
The Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) has recorded an investment realisation of Rp498.8 trillion for the first quarter of 2026.
Investment Minister and Downstreaming/Head of BKPM Rosan Roeslani stated during a press conference in Jakarta on Thursday that this figure represents a 7.2% year-on-year increase, compared to Rp465.2 trillion in the previous year.
βThe investment realisation for the first quarter of 2026 reached Rp498.8 trillion, absorbing 706,569 workers, which is a 18.9% year-on-year increase,β said Rosan.
Furthermore, he noted that this first-quarter achievement amounts to 24.4% of the annual target of Rp2,041.3 trillion.
Domestic investments (PMDN) comprised 49.9% of the total, valued at Rp248.8 trillion (up 6% year-on-year). Meanwhile, foreign investments (PMA) accounted for 50.1%, valued at Rp250 trillion.
Minister Rosan also mentioned the top five investing countries: Singapore (approximately US$4.6 billion), Hong Kong (China) (US$2.7 billion), China (US$2.2 billion), the United States (US$1.3 billion), and Japan (US$1 billion).
Additionally, he highlighted the sectors receiving the largest capital injections: basic metals industry, metal goods excluding machinery and equipment (Rp69.4 trillion); other services (Rp64.2 trillion); mining (Rp51.9 trillion); housing, industrial areas, and offices (Rp48 trillion); and transportation, warehousing, and telecommunications (Rp45.4 trillion).
He expressed hope that this positive trend can be maintained entering the second quarter of 2026, while achieving the national investment target for the year.
