Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming, or the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), reported that investment realisation in the first quarter of 2026 reached Rp 498.8 trillion, equivalent to 24.4% of this year’s investment target of Rp 2,041.3 trillion.

“The investment target for the first quarter of 2026, praise be to God, was achieved and slightly exceeded. If I may give a brief overview, the target for 2026 is Rp 2,041.3 trillion, which is the target set by Bappenas, and the realised investment was recorded at Rp 498.8 trillion, an increase of approximately 7.2% compared to the same period in 2025,” said the Minister of Investment and Downstreaming or Head of BKPM, Rosan P. Roeslani, during a press conference on Thursday (23/4/2026).

From this realisation, foreign direct investment (PMA) contributed 50.1% or Rp 250 trillion, growing 8.5% annually. Meanwhile, domestic investment (PMDN) reached Rp 248.8 trillion or 49.9% of the total investment, increasing 6% compared to the previous year.

Specifically for PMDN, the five leading sectors with the highest investments include Mining at Rp 34.0 trillion (13.7%); Transportation, Warehousing, and Telecommunications at Rp 33.6 trillion (13.5%); Housing, Industrial Estates, and Offices at Rp 32.4 trillion (13.0%); Other Services at Rp 28.7 trillion (11.5%); and Food Industry at Rp 16.9 trillion (6.8%).

By region, the largest domestic investments flowed into DKI Jakarta at Rp 47.9 trillion; West Java at Rp 26.3 trillion; Banten at Rp 23.3 trillion; East Java at Rp 23 trillion; and NTB at Rp 15.7 trillion.
