To ensure similar cases do not recur, the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) has coordinated with various parties, including the Governor of Banten, the Banten Regional Police Chief, as well as representatives from KADIN and the companies involved.

During a meeting on 14 May at the Ministry of Investment office, all parties expressed their support for the continuation of the CAA project and the strengthening of investment security in the region.

"We want there to be a deterrent effect against unlawful actions. This is important for maintaining a healthy investment climate," said Todotua.

He added that legal action against the perpetrators of extortion is a crucial step in creating legal certainty for investors.

Banten Regional Police Chief Inspector General Suyudi Ario Seto conveyed his commitment to thoroughly investigating the incident. "We will deploy a team and if criminal violations are found, they will certainly be processed in accordance with the law," he affirmed.
