BKN: All South Sulawesi regional governments develop civil service talent management
Makassar (ANTARA) - Head of the National Civil Service Agency (BKN) Zudan Arif Fakrulloh said talent management provides space for regional governments to identify, develop, and place civil servants (ASN) based on potential and competence.
Zudan said in his statement in Makassar on Wednesday that ASN talent management is part of efforts to build a bureaucracy capable of answering current governance challenges.
“We cannot solve today’s problems with past approaches,” he said.
According to him, the approach to managing ASN needs to be continuously developed so that the potential and competence of each civil servant can be mapped and utilised optimally.
Meanwhile, South Sulawesi Governor Andi Sudirman Sulaiman said South Sulawesi is one of the progressive regions in developing ASN talent management.
A total of 13 district/city regional government institutions in South Sulawesi have obtained approval for the implementation of talent management.
At the 2026 Phase II Exposé, 11 other regencies/cities again participated in the assessment and exposé process for talent management implementation.
Head of BKN Regional Office IV Makassar Nanang Subandi said all 25 regional government institutions in South Sulawesi Province have carried out talent management development exposés.
With this achievement, South Sulawesi has become the first province in the working area of BKN Regional Office IV Makassar where all regional government institutions have carried out talent management development exposés.
South Sulawesi is also said to be the first region outside Java where all regencies/cities have carried out talent management development exposés.
