Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Population and Family Development (Kemendukbangga)/National Population and Family Planning Board (BKKBN) is providing facilities at Eid exodus posts equipped with lactation rooms to reproductive health services during the 2026 Lebaran holiday period. Kemendukbangga/Head of BKKBN, Wihaji, stated in Jakarta on Friday that amid long and tiring journeys, the need for comfort, safety, and family-friendly services is essential, hence the 2026 Eid exodus posts adopt the theme “Building Families, Building the Nation.” He emphasised that the Eid momentum is not only a platform for maintaining family ties but also for strengthening family values through eight functions, namely religious, socio-cultural, love and affection, to protection, which are expected to be incorporated into togetherness during the exodus and Idul Fitri celebrations. As a concrete form of service, several Kemendukbangga/BKKBN exodus posts offer facilities that are friendly to all family members. In South Kalimantan, for example, services are available at Balai KB Bungur, Balangan Police Resort, and Balai KB Pudak, providing rest areas for travellers, education and counselling on reproductive health, child-friendly rooms (playgrounds), as well as support services for pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, children, and the elderly. In addition to providing rest areas and worship facilities, in Bangka Belitung, the exodus post located at Tanjung Kalian Port, West Bangka Regency, offers family counselling services, lactation rooms, family planning services, and child-friendly rooms. These various services are designed to ensure that travellers can rest comfortably while receiving the education and services they need during their journey. Travellers can directly visit the provided posts and will be directed by officers according to their needs, so that every family member receives optimal attention. The presence of these exodus posts is tangible proof of Kemendukbangga/BKKBN’s commitment to delivering inclusive and responsive services to the needs of the community.
