BKI Enhances BSI Analysts' Perspectives on Shipbuilding Industry Financing
Jakarta, VIVA – The parent holding company for State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) in Surveying Services, known as IDSurvey, PT Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia (Persero) or BKI, continues to strive to introduce its role and functions within the national shipbuilding industry ecosystem, in order to provide a general overview of the shipbuilding industry in Indonesia from a classification perspective.
This is being realised, among other things, through the “Knowledge Sharing Forum (KSF) Industry Focus Mastery: Shipbuilding Industry” event, organised by Primakelola IPB Consulting and PT Bank Syariah Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BSI.
In the event targeted at BSI analysts, BKI’s Director of Classification Business Operations, Arief Budi Permana, and VP of Research and Classification & Statutory Business Development, Fredhi Agung Prasetyo, were also present.
Their presentations explained the aspects that BSI analysts need to understand, in order to enhance comprehension of the shipbuilding industry so that it can accommodate financing aspects in the maritime sector moving forward.
“So that BSI analysts can also support analysis for financing in the maritime sector,” said Arief in his statement on Wednesday, 15 April 2026.
In his presentation, Arief explained the overall shipbuilding process, from the planning stage to operations. Additionally, an overview of risks in the shipbuilding industry was provided, as well as factors that can influence ship value.
“Of course, this is done with an approach relevant to the needs of financing analysis,” said Arief.
As a surveying and classification services company, BKI also provides a technical perspective that helps participants understand the characteristics of the shipbuilding industry, so they can obtain a comprehensive picture.
“This approach is expected to enrich the analysts’ perspectives in assessing the potential and risks of financing in the maritime sector,” he stated.
For information, this forum serves as a platform for knowledge sharing aimed at enhancing the capacity of BSI analysts in understanding the shipbuilding industry more comprehensively. Through this event, BKI also demonstrates its commitment to supporting the strengthening of industry understanding and more accurate decision-making in the maritime sector.
