BKHIT: Whole Coconuts from Natuna a Top Commodity Ahead of Ramadan — Key Facts

The Animal, Fish and Plant Quarantine Agency (BKHIT) of the Riau Islands has recorded that whole coconuts originating from Natuna Regency have become the leading commodity in demand from other regions ahead of Ramadan.

On Wednesday (18 February), a total of 148.89 tonnes of whole coconuts were recorded in inter-regional shipments, highlighting the seasonal spike in demand for this agricultural product as the fasting month approaches.
