BKHIT Kalbar and Bareskrim Foil 65-Ton Illegal Food Smuggling

ANTARA – The West Kalimantan Animal, Fish and Plant Quarantine Office (BKHIT Kalimantan Barat), together with the Special Economic Crimes Directorate (Dittipideksus) of the Indonesian National Police’s Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim Polri), thwarted the smuggling of 65 tonnes of illegal food commodities from abroad, on Thursday (21 May). All of the seized goods that had entered Indonesia without official documents were subsequently destroyed at the Batu Layang landfill, Pontianak Utara.
