Bittime: US-Iran Negotiations Could Determine Global Market Direction
Jakarta - Digital financial asset trading platform Bittime assesses that the outcome of negotiations between the United States (US) and Iran is one of the main factors potentially influencing global market direction in the near term. The negotiation results could serve as an important catalyst for the movement of various investment instruments amid geopolitical uncertainty and the cautious stance of the US Central Bank.
“The market is currently in a phase of waiting for certainty. Whatever the outcome of the US-Iran negotiations, it could become a catalyst that drives significant movement in various global investment instruments,” said Bittime Operational Director Ryan Lymn in a statement in Jakarta on Wednesday.
Beyond the US-Iran negotiations, market sentiment is also being influenced by rising geopolitical tensions in the Middle East after Israel launched attacks on Lebanon. On the other hand, the Fed decided to maintain its benchmark interest rate at the latest Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting. This condition leaves market participants still waiting for the next direction of US monetary policy.
The combination of these various sentiments has affected the movement of risky assets, including crypto assets and US stock indices. According to CoinMarketCap data as of 23 June 2026, the price of Bitcoin was at the level of 62,300 US dollars, down 3.94 percent in the last 24 hours and weakening 6.58 percent over the week. This correction reflects the market’s increasing sensitivity to geopolitical developments and global monetary policy.
Meanwhile, in the US stock market, index movements showed a mixed response. The Nasdaq fell 1.32 percent, the S&P 500 weakened 0.37 percent, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average corrected 0.30 percent. Meanwhile, the NYSE Composite strengthened 0.41 percent.
According to Ryan, rising market uncertainty can indeed trigger volatility, but at the same time it also opens up opportunities for investors who are able to read momentum accurately. “When uncertainty increases, volatility usually rises as well. However, conditions like this can also create opportunities for investors to identify more attractive entry points according to their strategy and risk profile,” he added.
Amid these market developments, Ryan highlighted tokenised US stocks as one of the innovations in the digital asset sector. This instrument enables the representation of US stocks in token form traded via blockchain networks. “Investors who want exposure to US stocks without having to own the assets directly can consider tokenised US stocks, which allow more flexible access to global stock movements within a single investment ecosystem,” he said.
Ryan added that the US stock market remains one of the instruments widely watched by global investors, supported by the performance of large technology companies and the relatively stable prospects of the US economy. In line with the globally developing trend of asset tokenisation, Bittime presents various real-world asset (RWA) based assets such as Tether Gold (XAUT), Silver Token (SLVON), SP500 Tokenized ETF (SPYX), Nasdaq Tokenized ETF (QQQX), as well as Tokenized US Stocks like Tesla (TSLAX), Alphabet (GOOGLX), Apple (AAPLX), and Nvidia (NVDAX) that provide broader access for investors.
“Through the diverse selection of tokenised US stocks available, Indonesian investors have more alternatives to gain exposure to leading global companies,” said Ryan.
