Bittime Reveals Shift in Crypto Investor Strategies
The ongoing fluctuations in the crypto asset market are prompting investors to alter their portfolio management strategies. Amidst these conditions, investors are refocusing transactions on highly liquid assets such as USDT, Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Solana (SOL).
According to CoinMarketCap data as of Thursday (30/07), Bitcoin prices rose by 0.46 per cent over the last 24 hours, though they remain 2.48 per cent lower over the past week. Bitcoin was trading in the range of $64,133, with July movements ranging between $60,000 and $68,000.
Ryan Lymn, Chief Operating Officer of Bittime, stated that market conditions are making investors more selective regarding asset allocation. Beyond chasing potential returns, investors are also considering liquidity and the flexibility required to adjust positions in line with market changes.
“Our data shows a shift in trading preferences, with activity becoming increasingly concentrated on major assets such as BTC, ETH, SOL, and USDT. This indicates that investors are becoming more selective in allocating assets and are adjusting their strategies to suit market conditions,” Ryan said on Friday (31/07/2026).
According to Ryan, the IDR-USDT trading pair has become a preferred choice for investors managing the movement of funds between the Rupiah and the digital asset ecosystem. In digital asset trading, USDT also serves as a flexible trading pair, acting as a denomination for various crypto asset pairs. This mechanism allows investors to shift positions from one asset to another without always needing to convert digital assets back into fiat currency.
In addition to major cryptocurrencies, Bittime also noted an increase in investor interest in global assets. Transactions for Tokenised US Stocks on the platform grew 2.5 times in July 2026 compared to June 2026.
Ryan noted that this increase in transactions demonstrates a growing interest among domestic investors in global assets. The five most heavily traded Tokenised US Stocks on Bittime include SPCXX, NVDAX, CRCLX, MSTRX, and AAPLX.
“The 2.5-fold growth in Tokenised US Stock transactions shows the rising interest of local investors in global assets. The five most popular Tokenised US Stocks on Bittime are SPCXX, NVDAX, CRCLX, MSTRX, and AAPLX, supported by the Flexible Earn feature with rewards reaching 7 per cent for Tokenised AI Stocks. Simultaneously, activity in USDT and major crypto assets shows that investors continue to prioritise liquidity and flexibility in managing their portfolios,” said Ryan.
According to Bittime, these developments indicate that investors now have increasingly diverse options for portfolio management, ranging from major cryptocurrencies and stablecoins to global assets. Amidst market dynamics, liquidity, diversification, and risk management remain the primary considerations in formulating investment strategies.
