Bittime: Indonesian Investor Interest in AI Stock Tokenisation Surges
Digital financial asset trading platform Bittime has revealed that Indonesian investor interest in the tokenisation of artificial intelligence (AI) sector stocks continues to increase. According to Bittime data, the majority of investor funds in its Tokenized US Stocks service are flowing into AI company shares. To maintain this ecosystem, Bittime’s Director of Operations, Ryan Lymn, views regulatory strengthening as an important foundation for the growth of the digital financial asset industry in Indonesia. “The OJK’s commitment to strengthening IAKD provides certainty for industry players to continue innovating. We see this step accelerating digital asset adoption while expanding public access to global investment opportunities through a regulated platform,” Ryan said in a statement in Jakarta on Thursday. At the National Symposium and Stakeholder Consultation Forum for the Development and Strengthening of Financial Sector Technology Innovation, Digital Financial Assets, and Crypto Assets (IAKD) on 2 July 2026, the OJK emphasised that technological developments, from AI to asset tokenisation, are opening significant opportunities for the financial sector. The OJK is also drafting the IAKD Roadmap 2026–2031, which covers the development of asset tokenisation, stablecoins, cybersecurity, over-the-counter (OTC) transactions, and the Single Investor Identifier (SID). Meanwhile, the global crypto asset market remains relatively stagnant. Based on CoinMarketCap data on Wednesday (8/7), the price of Bitcoin was around 62,900 US dollars, down 0.59 percent in the last 24 hours but still up 6.61 percent over the week. The CoinMarketCap Fear and Greed Index stood at 27, in the fear category, an improvement from the previous week’s extreme fear level. This condition suggests some investors are beginning to seek alternative investment diversification with exposure to global growth themes, including through stock tokenisation. Bittime recorded a 106 percent increase in US stock tokenisation holdings within 48 hours of launching the flexible staking feature for Tokenized US Stocks. As much as 96 percent of new funds were concentrated in tokenised shares of NVIDIA, Meta, and Microsoft. Meanwhile, demand for tokenised shares of Apple, Google, Tesla, and Amazon was relatively flat. Additionally, nearly 50 percent of Tokenized US Stocks holdings on Bittime were immediately placed in the Earn feature to obtain yields of up to 7 percent. Seeing this high enthusiasm, Bittime is again launching a Tokenized US Stocks campaign this week. Based on user behaviour in the previous campaign, SpaceX Token (SPCXX) was chosen as the main incentive, while users can still enjoy the Earn feature with rewards of up to 7 percent. Ryan said this trend shows Indonesian investors are becoming more selective in choosing sectors with long-term growth prospects. “The high interest in AI-themed stocks shows Indonesian investors are starting to invest based on global growth themes. Asset tokenisation makes access to global investment opportunities easier, more efficient, and inclusive,” Ryan said. As a Digital Financial Asset Trader (PAKD),PT Bittime continues to expand public access to global investment through Tokenized US Stocks. In line with OJK data recording that the number of digital financial asset and crypto asset consumers has reached 22.4 million, Bittime’s initial data indicates that asset tokenisation innovation is beginning to receive a positive response from Indonesian investors, particularly for gaining exposure to companies leading AI technology development.
