Bittime assesses PPSK Law revision strengthens Indonesia's crypto industry ecosystem
Jakarta - Digital financial asset trading platform Bittime considers the revision of Law Number 4 of 2023 on Financial Sector Development and Strengthening (PPSK) an important step in reinforcing the national financial industry, including the crypto and digital financial asset sectors. The regulatory strengthening through the PPSK Law is expected to enhance legal certainty, strengthen coordination between authorities, and support healthier and more sustainable financial industry growth.
“We welcome the ratification of the revised PPSK Law, and we hope this revision will strengthen the foundation of the digital asset industry in Indonesia. Clearer and more adaptive regulations will provide room for responsible innovation while increasing public trust in the crypto industry,” said Bittime Operational Director Ryan Lymn in a statement in Jakarta on Friday. For the crypto industry, regulatory clarity is a key factor in driving innovation and boosting public confidence.
Ryan assessed that the revised PPSK Law could open greater space for digital asset product innovation in Indonesia. He hopes the regulatory strengthening can create opportunities for more digital asset products to obtain legal certainty and regulatory approval, giving the public more investment choices beyond commonly known crypto assets like Bitcoin.
In line with this, the Financial Services Authority (OJK) sees a significant opportunity for Indonesia to become a key player in the global digital financial asset ecosystem. At the CFX Crypto Conference 2026, OJK’s Chief Executive of Supervision for Financial Sector Technology Innovation, Digital Financial Assets, and Crypto Assets, Adi Budiarso, emphasised the importance of building trust as the foundation for future crypto industry development. OJK views this trust as a catalyst for the emergence of new product innovations and business models, including asset tokenisation development, the use of stablecoins for domestic economic activities, and the integration of digital financial assets with the real economy sector.
According to OJK, the economic potential of digital assets comes not only from crypto trading but also from the development of real-world asset (RWA) tokenisation and various blockchain-based innovations that can broaden public investment access. In line with the global trend of asset tokenisation, Bittime is also offering various RWA-based assets that provide Indonesian investors with access to global assets. In addition to products such as Tether Gold (XAUT), Silver Token (SLVON), SP500 Tokenized ETF (SPYX), and Nasdaq Tokenized ETF (QQQX), Bittime users can also gain exposure to a number of Tokenized US Stocks, including Tesla (TSLAX), Alphabet (GOOGLX), Apple (AAPLX), and Nvidia (NVDAX).
With increasingly robust regulatory support through the revised PPSK Law, Bittime is optimistic that Indonesia’s crypto industry will continue to grow and deliver more innovations that provide added value to the public while driving national digital economic growth.
