Bittime assesses POJK 6/2026 strengthens transparency in the crypto industry
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Crypto asset trading platform Bittime has assessed that Financial Services Authority Regulation (POJK) Number 6 of 2026 concerning the Conduct of Information Providers in the Financial Services Sector can increase transparency and investor protection, given the significant role of influencers and key opinion leaders (KOLs) in the crypto industry.
Bittime’s Director of Operations Ryan Lymn said the presence of the regulation shows that Indonesia’s digital asset industry is maturing.
“This regulation shows that Indonesia’s digital asset industry is maturing. Transparency in promotion and information delivery will be a crucial factor in building long-term investor trust,” Ryan said in a statement in Jakarta on Friday.
For context, the POJK regulates standards of conduct for parties conveying financial services sector information to the public, including influencers, content creators, educators, and KOLs.
Under the regulation, information providers are required to convey information clearly and not misleadingly, disclose any economic interests in promotional content, and refrain from promising guaranteed returns on promoted financial products.
The regulation was issued shortly after the Task Force for the Eradication of Illegal Financial Activities (Satgas PASTI) halted the activities of several KOLs suspected of offering unlicensed Digital Asset Traders to the public.
According to Ryan, this move can improve the quality of information received by investors while encouraging more responsible crypto asset promotion practices.
“We see that the profession of crypto KOLs and content creators will become more professional. Ultimately, higher standards in information delivery will benefit both investors and the industry as a whole,” Ryan said.
Digital asset educator and content creator Christian Victorious assessed that the regulation can help investors better understand investment risks.
“Regulation that encourages transparency will help investors better understand investment risks. This is important to support the healthy growth of the digital asset industry,” Christian said.
Ryan added that improving information quality must be accompanied by strengthening community and digital asset literacy. To this end, Bittime continues to strengthen collaboration with communities and content creators through the Bittime Social Hub Programme.
The Bittime Social Hub Programme is an initiative that enables communities, educators, and content creators to expand their networks while gaining various benefits based on their contributions to increasing crypto asset adoption and literacy.
“Through the Bittime Social Hub Programme, we want to build a collaborative ecosystem that promotes responsible education while providing space for communities to grow together,” Ryan said.
Bittime believes that regulations promoting transparency, accountability, and consumer protection will serve as a crucial foundation for the sustainable growth of the crypto asset industry in Indonesia.
