Bitdefender MDR Solution Helps Companies Meet Audit Standards and Strengthen Cyber Resilience
Jakarta – The increasing threat of cyberattacks in Indonesia is pushing companies to strengthen their digital security systems while also meeting compliance and audit requirements. PT Sysware Indonesia, the official distributor of Bitdefender in Indonesia and Timor Leste, is offering a Managed Detection and Response (MDR) service that it claims can help companies improve cyber resilience and simultaneously meet various international audit standards.
According to data from the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN), Indonesia faces billions of cyberattacks annually. Throughout 2025, approximately 5.5 billion cyberattacks were recorded, while the period from 1 January to 15 April 2026 saw 1.52 billion attacks.
This situation places strategic sectors, including banking and financial services, at increasingly high risk. Various digital security incidents, ranging from account takeover attempts to suspected data leaks, highlight the importance of round-the-clock threat detection and response capabilities.
President Director of PT Sysware Indonesia, Tonny Lim, stated that the MDR service is a relevant solution given the limited cybersecurity resources still faced by many companies in Indonesia.

In 2025, the company transformed into a distributor supporting partner networks through a layered service scheme to broaden the implementation of cybersecurity across various industrial sectors.
According to Sysware, one of the biggest challenges companies face today is the shortage of cybersecurity experts. Indonesia is estimated to need at least 100,000 cybersecurity professionals, yet the available talent pool remains insufficient to meet market demand.
In its implementation, the MDR service combines threat detection technology with proactive monitoring and response by a team of security analysts. This approach is considered distinct from Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP) offerings, which generally focus on monitoring and incident reporting.
Beyond the MDR service, the Bitdefender GravityZone platform also features Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) and Extended Detection and Response (XDR) capabilities, enabling organisations to gain broader visibility into threats originating from endpoints, networks, email, cloud services, and user identities.
GravityZone XDR was previously recognised as a Strong Performer in The Forrester Wave: Extended Detection and Response Platforms Q2 2024 report. Meanwhile, the Forrester Landscape: Managed Detection and Response Services in Europe Q2 2025 report highlighted the importance of MDR services capable of proactive detection and response.
To support compliance needs, GravityZone also provides a Compliance Manager feature that allows companies to map their security posture against various international standards such as ISO/IEC 27001, the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), CIS Controls, PCI DSS, and SOC 2.
