Bitcoin Price Strengthening Indicates Recovery in Investor Sentiment, Says Practitioner
A domestic crypto asset market player stated that the strengthening of Bitcoin’s price in the third week of July 2026 is one indication of recovering investor sentiment towards digital assets. William Sutanto, CEO of Indodax, noted that Bitcoin’s price slightly strengthened to around Rp1.18 billion on the Indodax market, a moment that could be a driving factor for Bitcoin’s price going forward. He added that Bitcoin Spot Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF) products in the United States have recorded fund inflows for two consecutive weeks. According to data from SoSoValue, the Bitcoin ETF recorded a net inflow of 75.7 million US dollars (approximately Rp1.36 trillion) during the trading period of 13-17 July 2026, after previously recording an outflow of 424.7 million US dollars earlier in the week. He explained that ETFs are one of the instruments widely used by institutional investors to gain exposure to Bitcoin without having to own the crypto asset directly. Therefore, changes in ETF fund flows often serve as an indicator to read the direction of institutional investor sentiment. He said that ETF fund flows not only reflect interest in Bitcoin but also illustrate how institutional investors are beginning to increase their exposure to risk assets after a prolonged period of uncertainty.
