Bitbromo Officially Withdraws from Crypto Exchange Membership

PT Everest Kripto Indonesia (Bitbromo) has officially withdrawn its membership from Indonesia’s national crypto asset exchange. This decision encompasses the revocation of membership status at PT Bursa Komoditi Nusantara (CFX), PT Kliring Komoditi Indonesia (KKI), and PT Indonesia Coin Assets Custodian (ICC).

The step references CFX board decision CFX DIR-SK 008 II 2026 regarding the revocation of membership for PT Everest Kripto Indonesia.

Bitbromo management stated that the decision was made following the company’s failure to obtain operational licensing from the Financial Services Authority (OJK) as a Digital Financial Asset Trader. The company chose to adjust its operations in accordance with regulations applicable in Indonesia’s national crypto asset industry.

“This decision was made purely by company management. We are currently conducting internal discussions regarding the OJK licensing process and our subsequent business strategy,” the company said in an official statement on Monday, 2 March 2026.

Jonathan added that the company remains committed to maintaining good corporate governance and ensuring all activities comply with Indonesia’s legal framework.

During this transition period, Bitbromo also expressed appreciation to various national crypto market infrastructure institutions, including exchanges, clearing houses, custodians, regulators, and supervisory authorities that have provided guidance throughout the licensing process.
