Overall, the Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) on 7 April 2026 is estimated to still be under pressure. On Monday’s trading, 6 April 2026, the IHSG closed weakly by 0.53% or 37.35 points to 6,989.43, with 437 stocks weakening, 264 strengthening, and 257 stagnant.

Throughout Monday, the IHSG moved in the range of 6,943 to 7,009, recording transactions of 27.77 billion shares worth Rp15.21 trillion. Market capitalisation reached Rp12,184 trillion.

The MNC Sekuritas analysis team assesses that the dominance of selling pressure on the IHSG reflects that technically the index is still in the ongoing correction phase. This correction potential could reach the 6,745–6,849 area, as stated in their research on 7 April 2026.

Nevertheless, there is an alternative scenario that opens opportunities for the IHSG to continue strengthening. If the IHSG has completed wave A, the index has the potential to strengthen towards the 7,323–7,450 range.
