Phintraco Sekuritas projects that the strengthening of the IHSG is supported by expectations that Bank Indonesia will maintain the BI Rate at 5.75% in its Board of Governors Meeting on Wednesday (19/8/2026).
“This expectation is in line with inflation that remains within Bank Indonesia’s target and the need to maintain rupiah stability,” the team said in a daily research note on Tuesday (18/8/2026).
With this combination of sentiment, Phintraco Sekuritas expects the IHSG to move sideways within a range of 6,400–6,500 in trading on Wednesday (19/8/2026).
