The Bisnis-27 index closed higher on Friday (14/8/2026), in line with the strengthening of the Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG). Shares of INCO, MBMA, JPFA, and ADRO were observed to be the main drivers of the index.

Based on data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI), the index, a collaboration with Bisnis Indonesia daily, strengthened 0.56% to 432.33. A total of 19 shares rose, 5 fell, and 3 remained unchanged.

Shares with the highest gains included PT Vale Indonesia Tbk. (INCO), which rose 4.50% to Rp5,225, and PT Merdeka Battery Materials Tbk. (MBMA), which strengthened 2.94% to Rp525 per share.

PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk. (JPFA) also posted a gain of 2.65% to Rp2,320 per share, while PT Alamtri Resources Indonesia Tbk. (ADRO) recorded a 2.43% increase to Rp2,530 per share.

The IHSG itself closed up 1.59% at 6,401.89. Throughout the day, the composite index opened at 6,296.59 and reached a high of 6,401.89.

In addition, 354 shares rose, 277 shares declined, and 332 shares remained unchanged. Market capitalisation reached Rp11,243 trillion.

The IHSG closed up 0.56% at 6,337.21 at the end of the first trading session. This reversed the IHSG’s fortunes after it had fallen into negative territory on Thursday (13/8/2026).

The Mirae Asset Sekuritas research team noted that the IHSG’s positive momentum in the first session was mainly supported by rising share prices of state-owned mining issuers as well as telecommunications and mineral companies.

“The IHSG’s strengthening was supported by TINS shares, which surged 3.0%, ISAT rising 2.8%, and AMMN strengthening 1.9%,” wrote the Mirae Asset Sekuritas research team in their daily research publication on Friday (14/8/2026).

The IHSG’s positive performance occurred amid a regional Asian market that tended to move in negative territory. As of midday, the majority of major Asia-Pacific exchanges had weakened, except for the Tokyo and Seoul stock exchanges, which managed to remain in positive territory.
