BI's claim on IBRA down to Rp 132.34t

JAKARTA (JP): Bank Indonesia's claim on the Indonesian Bank Restructuring Agency (IBRA) slightly declined to Rp 132.34 trillion (about US$9.45 billion) on June 26 from Rp 133.28 trillion on June 19, the central bank said in a weekly report.

BI said that the decline was because banks under the supervision of IBRA had settled part of their liquidity credit injected by the central bank.

BI has been injecting credit liquidity to troubled banks, while IBRA has the responsibility of recovering the loan.

The central bank also reported that net domestic assets (NDA) slightly increased to -33.03 on June 26 from the -33.42 level earlier in the week.

BI's net international reserves (NIR) also increased by US$7.6 million to $14.61 billion, it said. (rei)
