Banda Aceh (ANTARA) - The Bireuen Regency Government in Aceh is distributing economic stimulus funds and first-phase furniture replacement funds from the Ministry of Social Affairs to victims of floods and landslides, amounting to Rp8 million per family head, with a total of Rp38 billion.

“Each family head who has passed the first-phase verification and validation receives Rp5 million in economic stimulus funds and Rp3 million in furniture replacement funds. These funds are sent by the Ministry of Social Affairs through PT Pos Indonesia,” said Spokesperson for the Bireuen Regency Government, Muhajir Juli, when contacted in Banda Aceh on Monday.

He stated that the total number of recipients of the first-phase economic stimulus and furniture replacement funds is 4,759 households spread across the sub-districts of Gandapura, Jangka, Jeumpa, Juli, Kota Juang, Kuala, Kutablang, Makmur, Jeunib, Peudada, Peusangan, Peusangan Selatan, Peusangan Siblah Krueng, and Samalanga.

He said that the economic stimulus assistance and furniture replacement funds have been directly handed over by the Regent of Bireuen, H Mukhlis, accompanied by the Vice Regent of Bireuen, Razuardi.

“Those receiving the first-phase economic stimulus and furniture replacement funds will be contacted by PT Pos through their respective village heads,” he said.

Currently, the Bireuen Regency Government through the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) under the authorisation of the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) is carrying out various preparations to begin the second-phase verification.

“The second-phase verification will be conducted in the third week of April 2026. The number to be verified in the second phase is 26,741 households,” he said.

He explained that survivors who were declared not meeting the criteria in the first phase (TMK) and then submitted appeals will be re-verified in the second phase.

“Homeowners and village officials are required to accompany during the verification process to minimise data errors,” he said.
