BIPI Shares Surge 19% Following Bakrie Group's Entry as Investor
Jakarta — Shares of PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI) surged significantly following Bakrie Capital Indonesia’s entry as a new investor. In a disclosure statement, Bakrie Capital Indonesia reported acquiring a stake in the infrastructure and energy company on 24 February 2026.
Bakrie Capital Indonesia revealed that it now holds 3.82 billion BIPI shares, representing 6% of voting rights.
The shares were purchased at Rp248 per share. Bakrie Capital Indonesia invested a total of Rp948 billion for the acquisition.
Bakrie Capital Indonesia clarified that it is not the controlling shareholder of BIPI. The shareholding is direct in nature, and no share buyback agreements are in place.
“The purpose of the transaction is investment,” Bakrie Capital Indonesia stated in its disclosure statement released on Wednesday (25 February 2026).
BIPI shares surged 19.26% to reach Rp322 per share during the second trading session on Wednesday (25 February 2026).
