Bandung — PT Bio Farma (Persero) is sending off 825 people across 12 buses under the free mudik programme coordinated by state-owned enterprises during the 2026 Eid transportation season.

Dwiana Kusuma Wardhani, Director of Human Capital at PT Bio Farma, explained that the company’s participation in the programme represents part of its commitment to fulfilling corporate social and environmental responsibility.

“Through this programme, we want to ensure that the public can travel more safely and comfortably, whilst also reducing the use of private vehicles, particularly motorcycles, which carry a higher accident risk,” Dwiana said in a statement received in Bandung on Sunday.

According to her, mudik is an important tradition for Indonesian society that holds significant social and emotional meaning as it provides an opportunity for people to reunite with their families.

“The participants not only come from Bandung, but also from various regions in West Java, such as Bekasi, Cianjur, Garut, and Sumedang,” she said.

Meanwhile, Bandung Mayor Muhammad Farhan expressed appreciation to Bio Farma and state-owned enterprises (BUMN) that have provided facilities for the people of Bandung to travel home and meet their families in their hometowns.

“The cooperation between state-owned enterprises based in Bandung with the Bandung City Government is certainly aimed at one thing: to provide maximum benefits to the public,” Farhan said.

“During the mudik journey, enjoy this as an annual entertainment trip to your respective hometowns. May your journey be smooth, filled with blessings, and bring happiness to your entire families,” he added.
