Binus University to Host APAC Academic Conference 2026 to Strengthen Education-Industry Collaboration
Binus University, together with SAP’s APAC Academic Partnership team, has launched the SAP Academic Community Conference APAC 2026, scheduled to take place from 13 to 17 July 2026 at the Binus Alam Sutera campus. Over five days, the conference will serve as a meeting point for academics, leading universities, and SAP partners from across the region to collaborate on shaping the future of technology education in the era of the autonomous enterprise.
The dynamic programme features in-depth seminars and technical workshops examining the critical role of higher education in navigating global digital transformation. The event will culminate in an SAP Learning & Career Day on 17 July 2026, specifically designed to provide more than 200 students from across Indonesia with hands-on practical engagement, career inspiration, and networking opportunities with industry experts.
A series of comprehensive panel discussions will be held under the main theme ‘Educating Future-ready Talent in the Age of the Autonomous Enterprise’. Experts will discuss strategic topics ranging from the transformation of corporate team structures by AI agents and the changing nature of job roles, to how universities must innovate beyond traditional disciplinary boundaries to equip students with human-AI collaboration skills.
Binus University Rector, Dr Nelly, stated that hosting the conference affirms the university’s commitment to fostering and empowering the community. ‘We believe that the School of Information Systems’ collaboration with SAP is a concrete step in aligning higher education with global industry dynamics, especially in facing the era of automation,’ she said.
Dean of the School of Information Systems at Binus University, Dr Rudy, added that the discussions are crucial. ‘We want to equip students not only with technical skills but also with the ability to manage collaboration between humans and AI, so they become relevant talents for the future,’ he said.
