BINUS University Secures Three International Awards
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The School of Information Systems at BINUS University has successfully secured three simultaneous international awards from the SAP University Alliances (SAP UA) during the SAP Academic Community Conference APAC 2026, reinforcing the university’s commitment to developing a robust technology ecosystem.
“These awards reflect the dedication of the entire academic community in bridging the gap between education and industry requirements,” said the Dean of the School of Information Systems at BINUS University, Dr Rudy, in Jakarta on Thursday (30/7).
Rudy stated that these awards serve as validation of ongoing efforts to provide a curriculum that is not only academically relevant but also adaptive to industrial technological advancements. According to him, the synergy between teaching, research, and innovation alongside industry partners such as SAP is the primary key to preparing graduates who are ready to become leaders in the digital era. Amidst rapid global digital transformation, collaboration between educational institutions and industry serves as the fundamental foundation for producing competent and competitive talent. “This reinforces our position as a strategic partner in the development of the technology ecosystem,” he added.
Previously, the School of Information Systems at BINUS University was presented with the SAP University Alliances Educational Excellence Awards APAC 2026 for its outstanding contribution to implementing an ERP learning curriculum in accordance with SAP UA Portfolio standards. This includes innovation in integrating SAP technology into academic teaching, including the utilisation of the SAP Learning Hub.
Furthermore, the university received the SAP University Alliances Co-Innovation Excellence Awards APAC 2026 as a form of appreciation for BINUS’s active contribution to the SAP ecosystem through various student projects that provide solutions to real-world industrial challenges, the development of innovative Proof of Concept (POC), and various SAP University Alliances activities alongside SAP partners.
The School of Information Systems at BINUS University also received the SAP University Alliances Community Excellence Awards APAC 2026 in recognition of its contributions to organising activities that support the development of the SAP academic community, such as the SAP Academic Community Conferences.
It is hoped that this achievement will further strengthen BINUS University’s position as a centre of excellence for information technology education in the Asia Pacific region. “We hope this motivates the entire academic community to continue contributing to the development of technology-based solutions that provide a real impact on society and global industry,” he concluded.
