BINUS University and SAP Launch SAP Academic Community Conference APAC 2026

BINUS University, in collaboration with SAP’s APAC Academic Partnership team, has officially launched the SAP Academic Community Conference APAC 2026. The prestigious event will take place over five days, from 13 to 17 July 2026, at the BINUS @Alam Sutera Campus. The conference serves as a strategic meeting point for academics, leading university heads, and SAP partners from across the Asia Pacific region. Its primary focus is collaborating to develop a technology education roadmap to face the era of the Autonomous Enterprise. The event features a dynamic programme encompassing in-depth seminars and technical workshops, designed to examine the crucial role of higher education in navigating global digital transformation. The conference will culminate with the SAP Learning & Career Day on 17 July 2026, involving more than 200 students from across Indonesia to gain practical experience and professional networking opportunities. A key agenda item is a comprehensive panel discussion on how universities must innovate beyond traditional disciplinary boundaries. Experts highlighted the importance of equipping students with collaboration skills between humans and AI agents, given that corporate team structures are beginning to transform radically. BINUS University Rector Dr. Nelly, S.Kom., M.M., affirmed that the collaboration between the BINUS School of Information Systems and SAP is a concrete step in aligning higher education with the dynamics of global industry. “We believe this step is crucial in nurturing and empowering society, especially in facing the era of automation,” she said. Echoing this sentiment, the Dean of the BINUS School of Information Systems, Dr. Rudy, S.Kom., M.M., added that students need more than just technical abilities. “We want to equip them with human-AI collaboration management skills so they remain relevant in the future,” he explained. Full support also came from the industry side. Sianto Wongjoyo, Managing Director of SAP Indonesia, expressed pride in supporting BINUS University’s vision. According to him, integrating AI expertise and cutting-edge technology into the curriculum is key to ensuring students not only adapt but also lead in the Autonomous Enterprise era.
