BINUS University and SAP Launch SAP Academic Community Conference APAC 2026
BINUS University, working with SAP’s APAC Academic Partnership team, has officially launched the SAP Academic Community Conference APAC 2026. The prestigious event runs for five days, from 13 to 17 July 2026, at the BINUS @Alam Sutera campus.
The conference serves as a strategic meeting point for academics, leading university figures and SAP partners from across the Asia-Pacific region. Its main focus is collaborating on a roadmap for technology education to face the era of the Autonomous Enterprise.
The programme features a dynamic series of in-depth seminars and technical workshops. These activities are designed to examine the crucial role of higher education in navigating global digital transformation.
The event culminates in the SAP Learning & Career Day on 17 July 2026, involving more than 200 students from across Indonesia to gain practical experience and professional networking opportunities.
One of the conference’s key agenda items is a comprehensive panel discussion on how universities must innovate beyond the boundaries of traditional academic disciplines. Experts highlighted the importance of equipping students with human-AI agent collaboration skills, given that corporate team structures are now undergoing radical transformation.
BINUS University’s Rector, Dr. Nelly, S.Kom., M.M., affirmed that the collaboration between the BINUS School of Information Systems and SAP is a concrete step in aligning higher education with the dynamics of the global industry.
“We believe this step is crucial in nurturing and empowering society, especially in facing the era of automation,” she said.
Echoing this, the Dean of the BINUS University School of Information Systems, Dr. Rudy, S.Kom., M.M., added that students need more than technical ability.
“We want to equip them with human-AI collaboration management skills so they remain relevant in the future,” he explained.
