BINUS @Semarang Opens Scholarships Up to 100 Percent, Encouraging Young Talent for the Digital and AI Era
Jakarta (ANTARA) – In an era of digital transformation and artificial intelligence, higher education plays a vital role in preparing the younger generation not only to understand technology, but also to use it to create solutions with a meaningful impact on society.
In line with the opening of new student admissions, BINUS University is once again offering scholarships of up to 100 per cent for the 2027/2028 academic year, including for prospective students wishing to continue their education at BINUS @Semarang. The programme forms part of BINUS’s commitment to broadening access to quality education for prospective students across a range of achievements and potential.
BINUS @Semarang is positioned as a Digital Transformation & AI Experience Campus, designed to bring students closer to a learning experience grounded in technology, data, artificial intelligence and digital innovation. Through this focus, students are encouraged to understand digital change in a tangible way, whilst developing skills relevant to the needs of industry and society in the future.
To support this focus, BINUS @Semarang offers a range of study programmes aligned with the demands of the digital era, namely Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Visual Communication Design, Digital Business, and Digital Psychology Semarang.
The presence of BINUS School @Semarang forms the foundation of an integrated educational ecosystem, providing continuity of the learning environment within a single area. Nearby, Mall 23 Semarang offers a commercial and lifestyle hub in keeping with the dynamics of the digital economy, whilst public interaction spaces such as Awanncosta and Malibu Beach Front reinforce the character of a modern district blending technology, recreation and creativity.
The ecosystem is completed by POJ City, an integrated development featuring modern residential areas, sports facilities such as a soccer field, and the POJ City Rally Circuit. The interconnection between education, technology and urban life creates a mutually supportive environment, ensuring that students’ learning experience is not detached from the development of the digital industry.
Through this integrated district, academic activity at BINUS @Semarang takes place in an environment that encourages daily interaction with technology, data, creativity and collaboration. Artificial intelligence is not merely studied as subject matter, but is also present as part of the adaptive learning experience.
The BINUS Scholarship programme offers several scholarship pathways: Talent Scouting, WIDIA, Startech, BINUSfluencer, Student Athlete Basketball, and OSIS. Each pathway is designed to recognise the potential of prospective students across various fields, from academia and technology to sport, digital creativity and an interest in the world of education.
BINUS @Semarang continues to strengthen an educational ecosystem relevant to future needs. With the support of more than 2,200 industry partners, an emphasis on AI and digital transformation, enrichment programmes, and an extensive Binusian alumni network, BINUS encourages students not only to be ready for the world of work, but also to become part of a generation that brings positive impact to Indonesia.
“We see more and more young people with great aspirations to develop on a global stage. Through scholarships of up to 100 per cent, BINUS University is committed to opening up wider access to education so that they can learn, grow and prepare themselves for the challenges of the future,” said the Rector of BINUS University, Dr Nelly, S.Kom., M.M.
The scholarship programme also presents an opportunity for young talent to flourish in a learning environment closely connected to technology, digital transformation, artificial intelligence and a continuously developing urban ecosystem.
“BINUS @Semarang is present as a Digital Transformation & AI Experience Campus to provide a learning experience more closely aligned with future needs. We want students not only to study technology and artificial intelligence in theory, but also to experience them in the learning process, campus activities and interaction with the surrounding environment. Through relevant study programmes and an integrated district ecosystem, we hope students can grow into digital talent that is adaptive, innovative and capable of bringing positive impact to society,” said the Director of BINUS @Semarang campus, Dr Fredy Purnomo, S.Kom., M.Kom.
