Bintang Wahyu Saputra Officially Demissionary, Completes PB SEMMI Mandate

The Accountability Report of the Central Board of the Indonesian Muslim Students Union (PB SEMMI) for the current period was officially presented by Chairman Bintang Wahyu Saputra before all delegates of regional and branch leaders from across Indonesia at the IX SEMMI Congress. The presentation, which carried the grand theme ‘One SEMMI Realises Astacita’, proceeded solemnly and constructively, culminating in the official demissionary status for the PB SEMMI board under the leadership of Bintang Wahyu Saputra. In his speech after being officially declared demissionary, Bintang Wahyu Saputra expressed his deepest gratitude and highest appreciation to all members of the PB SEMMI board, regional leaders, branch leaders, and all cadres across Indonesia who had faithfully accompanied the organisation’s journey during his term of service. ‘The presentation of this accountability report is a manifestation of our commitment to the traditions of democracy and accountability within SEMMI. I extend my infinite gratitude to all members of the PB SEMMI board and all cadres who have worked hard, struggled, and accompanied this journey to the finish line,’ said Bintang on Friday, 24 July 2026. He emphasised that the PB SEMMI board under his leadership had completed its term. However, he did not deny that the spirit of PB SEMMI would continue to be upheld as the main foundation. ‘Today, our board’s duties have ended and we are officially demissionary. But the spirit of ’One SEMMI’ must continue to be maintained as the main foundation. Remember that all cadres, wherever they are, are the front line for the development and progress of SEMMI in the future,’ he said. ‘Only with unity and the active role of cadres will SEMMI continue to be a driving force in realising Astacita for an advanced and just Indonesia,’ he continued. With the completion of the accountability report and the demissionary status of this period’s board, the IX SEMMI Congress now enters the next crucial stage, namely the formulation of the organisation’s strategic direction and the election of a new leadership relay ready to carry the spirit of sustainable transformation.
