Large ice areas reported found on Mars: Large areas of ice reportedly have been found on Mars, a discovery that could alter how scientists view the red planet and what kind of life forms may have existed on the lonely outpost. According to NASA, which has been mapping the dusty, dry planet with its Mars Odyssey spacecraft, many scientists believe Mars could once have had much more water than has so far been visible. -- AFP
