The Bima City Government is once again organising the Rimpu Mantika Festival on 25 April, or this weekend. This annual festival, included in the 2026 Karisma Event Nusantara (KEN) calendar from the Ministry of Tourism (Kemenpar), targets 85,000 participants.

“Preparations for the 2026 Bima Rimpu Mantika Festival have reached 90 percent so far,” said Bima Mayor A Rahman, alias Aji Man, when contacted by detikBali on Monday (20/4/2026).

Aji Man stated that this year’s Rimpu Mantika Festival implementation differs slightly from previous years, from the route and targeted number of participants to the concept being promoted.

The target for participants in the 2026 Rimpu Festival has increased by 5,000 from last year’s event. “The number of participants in the 2025 Rimpu Festival reached around 80,000 people. For 2026, the target is an increase to 85,000 people,” Aji Man noted.

Aji Man explained that the 2026 Rimpu Mantika Festival adopts an eco-green concept. Every group or participant is required to bring plastic bags to collect rubbish in the festival area.

“We want to demonstrate and provide the best from previous years. This festival is not only about culture but also about cleanliness, togetherness, and the image of Bima City,” he added.

The Head of the Bima City Tourism and Culture Office (Disparbud), Soekarno, stated that the rimpu parade will take place on Saturday (25/4/2026). Participants will start from Manggemaci Field and finish at Serasuba Field, specifically in the Mbojo ASI Museum area.

“This Saturday, the 2026 Bima Rimpu Mantika Festival is ready to be held with the designated route,” Soekarno said.

Soekarno added that the 2026 Rimpu Festival is the fourth edition organised by the Bima City Government. This year, the festival will be joined by the general public as well as all levels of the Bima City Government and other agencies.

“Representatives from Kemenpar and the Ministry of Creative Economy (Kemen Ekraf) have also confirmed their attendance,” he concluded.
