Officers from the Bima Police Resort in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) have destroyed evidence from narcotics and alcoholic beverage cases. The evidence, consisting of methamphetamine, marijuana, and Balinese arak, stems from case disclosures between March and April 2026.

Bima Police Chief AKBP Muh Anton Bhayangkara Gaisar stated that the destroyed narcotics evidence includes 194.55 grams of methamphetamine, 1,397.58 grams (1.4 kg) of marijuana, and 1,176 bottles of Balinese arak.

“Today’s destruction of evidence comes from the uncovering of four cases involving four suspects who have been designated as such,” Anton said during a press release at the Bima Police Resort headquarters on Wednesday (6/6/2026).

Anton expressed appreciation to the Bima Police Narcotics Unit for their ongoing commitment to eradicating narcotics. He requested that enforcement efforts be intensified, as narcotics are the root of all crimes and criminal acts.

“The Bima Police Resort remains committed to dismantling drug distribution networks that disturb the public,” he said.

Additionally, Anton called for widespread public support to assist police operations. He noted that the public also bears responsibility for preventing and eradicating drug circulation.

“We ask the public not to hesitate in providing information related to drug distribution. Reports and information can be submitted to police stations and the police resort for follow-up,” he explained.

Head of the Narcotics Unit at Bima Police Resort, Iptu Fardiansyah, detailed that the destroyed evidence results from routine monthly disclosures from 13 March to 30 April 2026.

“Today’s destruction of evidence is the third phase in 2026 and covers the seizures from the last two months,” he confirmed.

Fardiansyah explained that throughout 2026, they have conducted three phases of destroying narcotics case evidence. The first phase on 27 January 2026 involved 276.42 grams, and the second phase on 30 April 2026 involved 6.40 grams of evidence.

“The total evidence destroyed from January to April 2026 includes 477.37 grams of methamphetamine, 1,397.58 grams of marijuana, and 2,546 bottles of alcohol,” he clarified.

Observations showed that the methamphetamine was destroyed by blending it and mixing it with dishwashing soap. The marijuana was incinerated, while the alcohol was placed into a large drum. The destruction of the evidence was also witnessed by the suspects.
