Bima City Police Chief Officially Replaced as AKBP Mubiarto Banu Kristanto Takes Over

AKBP Mubiarto Banu Kristanto has officially assumed the post of Kapolres Bima Kota, replacing AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro who is entangled in a narcotics case. The inauguration, along with the oath-taking and appointment, was led by NTB Police Chief Irjen Edy Murbowo, in the Main Meeting Room of the NTB Police, on Friday (6 March 2026).

Edy said that rotations or changes of officials within the Indonesian National Police constitute part of the mechanism and refreshment within the organisation. ‘The change of officials so that they can maintain and improve performance and the smooth execution of duties,’ Edy said, on Friday (6 March 2026).

Edy asked Mubiarto to carry out his duties with full responsibility, to maintain stability of security and public order. Edy also asked Mubiarto to improve the quality of service to the public. ‘This is a mandate from the leadership; the public must be protected as well as possible,’ he said.

Edy hopes Mubiarto can elevate the performance of the Bima City Police, enhance security and law enforcement, and focus on improving public service.

‘Maintain solidarity and synergy with the TNI, the regional government, and all elements of society,’ the two-star police general urged.

It should be noted that Mubiarto previously served as Kepala Satuan Patroli Jalan Raya (Kasat PJR) of the Ditlantas Directorate at Polda NTB. The transfer was listed in the Kapolri Telegram Letter No. ST/440/II/KEP./2026 dated 27 February 2026.

Mubiarto replaces AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro, who is entangled in a narcotics case and has been named a suspect. Didik has even been sanctioned with a non-honourable dismissal (PTDH) following a decision by the Police Ethics Commission (KKEP).
