In the last few months, quite a lot of billboards advertising
cigarettes have emerged along toll roads, particularly those in
Jakarta, such as the one from Slipi to Cawang.

The billboards esthetically spoil the urban landscape of
Jakarta and pose a danger to drivers as they may become a
distraction, while most motor vehicles on toll roads are running
at a high speed.

As freeways, these roads should be free from anything that
hampers smooth traffic. Various other spaces and methods are
still available without having to disturb the convenience of toll
road users. I hope the relevant authorities will pay attention to
this matter.
