BIJB Kertajati Optimises Services to Support 2026 Hajj Departure
Majalengka (ANTARA) - The management of West Java International Airport (BIJB) Kertajati in Majalengka, West Java, is optimising services to support the smooth departure of prospective Hajj pilgrims for 2026, in line with the increase in the number of flight groups (kloter) served.
Managing Director of PT BIJB, Ronald H. Sinaga, in Majalengka on Wednesday, stated that his team is continuously improving services to ensure all departure processes run optimally.
“Up to now, we have been able to meet demands to the maximum. There are indeed a few things we need to improve, such as insufficient rooms, which we will address,” he said.
He noted that the number of kloter served through Kertajati Airport this year reached 40, an increase from 28 the previous year.
Ronald emphasised that on-time departure is one of the key aspects they continue to maintain.
“We always achieve on-time departures, so we are at 100 percent,” he stated.
In addition, his team is also optimising comfort for prospective pilgrims from the waiting lounge to the boarding process.
He explained that this comfort is realised through orderly service flows, ensuring that every prospective pilgrim does not feel rushed during boarding.
“Prospective pilgrims sit in a comfortable lounge, boarding is orderly, not rushed, and on time,” he said.
He added that the availability of adequate flight slots also supports the smooth and expedited departure process for Hajj pilgrims.
“If possible, next year 80 kloter. Because from 28 to 40 kloter we performed well, hopefully this year will also go smoothly,” he said.
