BII gets Triple-B rating
CHICAGO (Reuter): Duff & Phelps Credit Rating Co said Monday it assigned a Triple B credit rating to the long-term senior unsecured debt of Bank International Indonesia (BII).
The rating applies to both foreign currency and local currency debt. At the end of 1996, its assets totaled US$7.5 billion.
Bank International Indonesia is majority owned by the Sinar Mas Group, Indonesia's second-largest conglomerate.
Duff & Phelps said the rating reflects the bank's track record of above industry average profitability, solid asset quality and favorable market position.
