BII gets BA2 rating

HONG KONG (Reuter): Moody's Investors Service said yesterday
it had assigned ratings of BA2 and not prime to Bank
Internasional Indonesia.

The rating agency also assigned a Bank Financial Strength
Rating (BFSR) of "D" to the bank.

It said the difference between the senior debt and the long-
term deposit ratings reflected the greater risk that deposits
were more likely to be rescheduled in the event of "a stress
scenario".

Moody's said the bank appeared to have good financial
fundamentals and enjoy experienced management.

The bank, headquartered in Jakarta, had consolidated assets of
Rp 13 billion as of Dec. 31, 1995.
