Bidding for Tuas Power
SINGAPORE (Dow Jones): Singapore government investment arm
Temasek Holdings said Wednesday it has extended the deadline to
bid for a 60 percent stake in power station Tuas Power to April
12.
The bidders are a consortium comprising a SembCorp Industries
Ltd. unit and U.S.-based Edison Mission Energy; a consortium
comprising Keppel Fels Ltd. and U.S.-based CMS Energy Corp. ; and
a consortium comprising United Engineers Ltd. and U.S.-based
Enron Corp.
The three consortia selected to bid for the stake were
originally supposed to submit their bids by Jan. 11, but the
deadline was extended in light of the ongoing negotiations
between Indonesia's state-owned Pertamina and SembCorp.
