BI reports economic growth in Ciayumajakuning reaches 5.09 percent
Cirebon (ANTARA) - The Representative Office of Bank Indonesia (KPw BI) in Cirebon, West Java, states that the economy in the Cirebon, Indramayu, Majalengka, and Kuningan region (Ciayumajakuning) experienced growth of 5.09 percent (year-on-year/yoy) in 2025.
“That figure is an increase compared to 2024, which was recorded at 4.34 percent (yoy),” said the Head of KPw BI Cirebon, Wihujeng Ayu Rengganis, in Cirebon on Friday.
She mentioned that Ciayumajakuning’s contribution to West Java’s economy reaches 10.24 percent, supported by business sectors such as manufacturing, agriculture, wholesale and retail trade, transportation and warehousing, as well as construction.
Based on regional gross domestic product (PDRB) details, Indramayu Regency is the largest contributor with 3.73 percent.
From the economic indicators perspective, Wihujeng said, investment growth in Ciayumajakuning in 2025 was recorded at 5.27 percent (yoy).
She also conveyed that the poverty rate in the region is at 9.02 percent, while the open unemployment rate (TPT) is 6.10 percent.
In addition, she stated that consumer optimism, particularly in Cirebon City, continues to rise, as reflected in the Consumer Confidence Index (IKK) of 145.8 in March 2026.
