The Head of Bank Indonesia’s East Java Representative Office, Ibrahim, stated that the Java Coffee and Flavors Fest (JCFF) 2026, held at Surabaya City Square from 17-19 July 2026, recorded transactions worth Rp92.45 billion. JCFF is part of a collective effort to strengthen the regional economy while encouraging East Java’s MSMEs to become more competitive in the international market. JCFF 2026 is an annual Bank Indonesia East Java event that provides a platform for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to strengthen competitiveness and expand market access and financing for coffee, cocoa and chocolate, tea, and spice commodities. The event featured more than 110 MSMEs and offered a variety of activities including product exhibitions, business matching, workshops, talk shows, competitions, as well as cultural attractions and public entertainment. Ibrahim said the Rp92.45 billion achievement came from business matching transactions and financing with domestic and international investors, as well as banks in East Java. He expressed hope that JCFF can become a means of creating new sources of economic growth, as coffee, cocoa and chocolate, tea, and spices are East Java’s leading commodities and part of the archipelago’s identity with great potential to drive the regional economy. According to him, the JCFF 2026 event can make these commodities not only increasingly recognised as part of the archipelago’s cultural heritage but also as a driver of exports. ‘We want to expand MSME financing access, strengthen the heritage tourism ecosystem of Surabaya City, and make a real contribution to regional economic growth towards a Golden Indonesia 2045,’ Ibrahim said. He affirmed Bank Indonesia’s commitment, together with all strategic partners, to continue improving the quality, innovation, and competitiveness of coffee, cocoa and chocolate, tea, and spice products through strengthening MSME capacity, expanding global market access, and accelerating transaction digitalisation.
