BI records 914,000 QRIS merchants in Ciayumajakuning
Cirebon (ANTARA) - The Representative Office of Bank Indonesia (BI) in Cirebon, West Java, records that the number of Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) merchants in the Cirebon, Indramayu, Majalengka, and Kuningan (Ciayumajakuning) region reached 914,070 users as of February 2026.
“The addition of QRIS merchants during January and February 2026 was recorded at 37,670 merchants in Ciayumajakuning,” said Deputy Head of the BI Cirebon Representative Office, Himawan Putranto, in Cirebon on Friday.
According to him, this increase reflects the acceleration of digital payment system adoption by businesses in various economic sectors.
In terms of business types, he said, the QRIS transaction volume in the first two months of this year was dominated by Small Businesses (UKE) with a share of 49.28 percent.
Besides that category, the contribution from the Large Business (UBE) sector was recorded at 10.58 percent of the total QRIS transaction volume in Ciayumajakuning.
Meanwhile, he mentioned that the BLU/PSO sector contributed 0.38 percent, and other categories 0.65 percent to the QRIS transaction volume in the region.
Himawan stated that cumulatively, the QRIS transaction volume in Ciayumajakuning from January to February 2026 reached 41.88 million transactions.
“The QRIS transaction value in Ciayumajakuning during that period reached Rp3.58 trillion,” he said.
